President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has approved a series of decisions aimed at strengthening Turkmenistan’s oil and gas infrastructure through the procurement of key industrial materials from Chinese manufacturers.
Under a presidential resolution, the State Concern Türkmengaz has been authorized to conclude a contract with China’s Julong Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. for the purchase of steel pipes required for construction projects undertaken by its subordinate enterprises and institutions.
In a separate decree, the State Concern Türkmennebit received authorization to sign a contract with Wuxi SP. Steel Tube Manufacturing Co., Ltd. for the supply of casing and drill pipes needed for drilling production and exploratory wells.
The measures are intended to support the continued development of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector and provide the necessary infrastructure for expanding exploration and production activities.
Separately, the President approved a new procedure governing tenders for the procurement of goods, works, and services for ministries and agencies operating in the transport and communications sectors, in accordance with national legislation on public procurement. /// nCa 15 June 2026
