On Tuesday, 10 February 2026, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, Ömer Bolat, who arrived in Ashgabat on the occasion of the 12th Exhibition of Turkish Export Products.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ömer Bolat conveyed greetings and best wishes from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the Head of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
In turn, President Berdimuhamedov returned his best wishes to President Erdoğan. He emphasized that the exhibition of Turkish export goods, held regularly in Turkmenistan, is a key event contributing to the steady development of a mutually beneficial business partnership between the two nations.
Noting that Türkiye is one of the closest brotherly states for Turkmenistan, the President stressed that interstate relations are long-term and strategic in nature.
It was stated during the meeting that Türkiye has held a leading position in Turkmenistan’s foreign trade turnover for many years, as evidenced by the annual growth in bilateral trade volumes.
Exhibitions held on a bilateral basis serve as an important tool for developing effective trade and economic relations. Notably, the Exhibition of Export Goods of Turkmenistan was successfully held in Istanbul in July 2025.
In this regard, the Head of State expressed confidence that the outcomes of the Turkish Export Products Exhibition in Ashgabat would elevate the bilateral trade and economic partnership to an even higher level, providing momentum for the further development of business ties with Turkish companies and the active attraction of investments.
Bolat noted that Türkiye attaches special importance to the development of economic cooperation with brotherly Turkmenistan and expressed his gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for supporting the high-level organization of the exhibition.
Berdimuhamedov confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to consider specific proposals from the Turkish side regarding the development of cooperation and to support constructive initiatives. ///nCa, 11 February 2026
