On June 24, 2026, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Turkmenistan Bernd Heins, who is completing his diplomatic mission in the country.
During the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of cooperation and priority areas of Turkmen-German relations. Opportunities for further strengthening cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural spheres were explored.
The importance of joint mechanisms for bilateral cooperation was emphasized, including regular consultations and the activities of specialized working groups, as well as interaction within international organizations.
At the end of the meeting, R. Meredov expressed gratitude to the German Ambassador for his personal contribution to strengthening bilateral relations and wished him further success in his professional endeavors.
