On May 1, 2026, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Türkiye, Mekan Ishangulyyev, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
During the meeting, an interested exchange of views took place on the prospects for further development of effective Turkmen–Turkish cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, as well as on the diversification of business contacts in light of modern realities. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of new joint projects across various areas of bilateral partnership.
In this context, the parties noted the significant potential for a steady increase in bilateral trade turnover, as well as for deepening and intensifying ties between the business communities of the two countries.
It was emphasized that an important role in this process should be played by the activities of the Intergovernmental Turkmen–Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation and the Turkmen–Turkish Business Council, as well as by the organization of sectoral exhibitions and joint business forums. ///nCa, 3 May 2026 (in cooperation with the Embassy of Turkmenistan to Türkiye)
