Today, 22 September, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov turns 45. The head of state has received birthday greetings from foreign heads of state, heads of government and other senior political and public figures.

Xi Jinping: advancing the “Community with a Shared Future”
In his message, Chinese President Xi Jinping recalled his meeting with Serdar Berdimuhamedov in Beijing during the Turkmen president’s participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit and events marking the 80th anniversary of the Chinese people’s victory in the Second World War.
The Chinese leader noted that the two sides discussed further strengthening their traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation. Xi Jinping stressed that he attaches great importance to the development of China-Turkmenistan relations and expressed his readiness to work jointly to advance the building of a “Community with a Shared Future” between China and Turkmenistan for the benefit of the two peoples.
Lee Jae Myung: cooperation expands beyond energy
President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung highlighted the “in-depth exchange of views” on the development of bilateral relations during his first in-person meeting with Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held during the Turkmen president’s state visit to South Korea and the first Central Asia-Republic of Korea Summit.
He emphasized the agreement reached to expand the partnership beyond energy and industrial projects.
The Korean leader identified shipbuilding, railway construction and urban development as new areas of cooperation. He expressed confidence that continued joint efforts would produce results in the interests of the two countries and their peoples.
Vladimir Putin: strategic partnership and regional security
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted Turkmenistan’s progress in socio-economic development and the strengthening of its position on the international stage.
Particular attention in his message was given to bilateral relations. Putin emphasized his high regard for Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s efforts to further develop the deepened strategic partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan.
The Russian president also expressed readiness to continue joint work on bilateral and international issues in the interests of the two countries’ peoples, as well as to ensure stability and security in Central Asia and the Caspian region.
Emomali Rahmon: focus on strategic partnership
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon noted Turkmenistan’s socio-economic development and the strengthening of its international standing.
In his message, he specifically highlighted Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s attention to strengthening relations of friendship, constructive cooperation and the deepened strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
Rahmon reaffirmed Dushanbe’s interest in continuing joint efforts to further develop bilateral ties.
Alexander Lukashenko: Turkmenistan’s new achievements
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko noted Turkmenistan’s new achievements in socio-economic development and on the international stage.
He wished Serdar Berdimuhamedov good health, inexhaustible energy and success in implementing his plans for the benefit of the people of Turkmenistan.
Mikhail Mishustin: trade, technology and joint projects
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin highlighted Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s personal contribution to the development of Russia-Turkmenistan relations, which, as stated in the message, are based on friendship, good-neighbourliness and strategic partnership.
Mishustin noted that, following decisions taken at the highest level, trade and economic, scientific and technological, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries is expanding, alongside the implementation of joint projects in various fields.
