On 2 March 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Ermek Kosherbaev, held a series of telephone conversations with his counterparts from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the ministers engaged in a detailed exchange of views regarding the unfolding military and political situation in the Middle East. They emphasized the vital need for close coordination and rapid cooperation during this crisis.
Minister Kosherbaev expressed particular gratitude to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, and Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister, Rashid Meredov, for their constructive partnership in handling evacuation efforts.
The parties confirmed their shared commitment to resolving conflict issues strictly through political and diplomatic means, as well as observing international law and joining efforts in the interests of maintaining regional security, peace and stability.
