On Wednesday, 13 May, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is currently visiting Kazan, met with the Rais of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. This was reported by the press service of the Head of Tatarstan.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is leading the Turkmenistan delegation at the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum.”
Minnikhanov thanked Berdimuhamedov for his traditional participation as a guest of honor at KazanForum events at the head of a representative Turkmen delegation, as well as for his special attention to developing cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan.
“We are very grateful to you for supporting KazanForum. This year, you are leading a distinguished delegation. Today we opened the Kazan Halal Market fair—Turkmenistan has one of the largest stands. Your country has also prepared a large exhibition display on the sidelines of the forum. In general, you always provide us with trust and support in all our matters,” he emphasized.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed his gratitude for the invitation to Kazan and conveyed best wishes on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
“The International Economic Forum ‘Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum’ is being held for the 17th time. Every year, it gains more authority on the international stage. Scientific and practical conferences, primarily related to economics, investments, IT, and digitalization, are held on the sidelines of the forum. Exhibitions are also organized within its framework. It is gratifying that this year Kazan is the cultural capital of the Islamic world. We congratulate you,” said the National Leader of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting with Minnikhanov, a telephone conversation took place between Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“You had a very thorough conversation with our leader. Much connects Russia and Turkmenistan. An immense role in this belongs to you, the President of Turkmenistan, and, of course, the President of Russia. Welcome to Tatarstan! We are always glad to see you!” stated the Rais of the Republic.
