The French Institute in Turkmenistan announces the opening of the chess season and invites all fans of the intellectual game to join its new chess club.
Starting 9 May 2026, club meetings will take place every Saturday at 18:30 on the Institute’s premises. The project is being implemented in partnership with the Chess Federation of Turkmenistan and aims to popularize chess among a wide audience.
Special attention will be given to beginners: experienced mentors will help them learn the basics of the game and take their first steps toward mastery.
Knowledge of the French language is welcomed but is not a mandatory requirement for participation. Joining the chess club is free of charge. ///nCa, 6 May 2026
