On 1–2 October 2026, more than 200 international companies from over 40 countries will gather in Ashgabat as part of the Turkmenistan Investment Forum 2026. For Turkmen entrepreneurs, this will be one of the year’s most significant business opportunities: over just two days at the Ýyldyz Hotel, they will be able to hold negotiations with representatives of companies that would normally require travelling thousands of kilometers to meet in person.
An important advantage is that participants can schedule meetings with other forum delegates themselves, without having to rely on chance encounters during the event. Every registered delegate will have access to the Attendee Hub and the TIF 2026 mobile application — App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android. The application allows participants to browse the list of delegates, learn more about the companies represented and find their representatives. All they need to do is select the organisation they are interested in and send a meeting request, while the time and venue can then be agreed upon by the parties. This can already be done in advance, allowing participants to have a well-planned programme of business meetings by the time the forum begins.
Who can participants meet?
Japanese business will have a particularly strong presence at the forum, with Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, ITOCHU, Sumitomo Corporation, Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Mizuho Bank among the participants. Companies from South Korea will include Samsung C&T and Daewoo Engineering, while Germany will be represented by John Deere, CLAAS, WIRTGEN Group and Siemens Energy.
Damen Shipyards will present shipbuilding solutions, while TotalEnergies, Dragon Oil and ADNOC will bring expertise in the oil and gas sector. Toyota Central Asia will represent the automotive industry.
The financial sector will include Oppenheimer & Co and Moody’s, the legal sector will be represented by Fieldfisher, and the technology sector by Canaan and Bitdeer.
Particular attention should also be given to development institutions, including the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Asian Development Bank, the EBRD, the Islamic Development Bank and the Export-Import Bank of China.
For representatives of the agricultural sector, the forum will provide an opportunity to discuss machinery and services with John Deere, CLAAS and Jiangsu World. Construction companies will be able to explore subcontracting and localisation opportunities with Samsung C&T, WIRTGEN, Gap İnşaat and Rönesans. Representatives of the oil and gas sector can discuss equipment and reagents with Siemens Energy, MHI and Tatneft. For logistics companies, Damen, TAV Technologies and Betamont may be of particular interest, while exporters may explore opportunities with trading platforms such as Karavan (Türkiye), AEEX (China–SCO), Tatarstan Trade House and TABCA (USA).
The list of participants also includes Turkmen companies such as Hazar Gurluşyk, Türkmen Enjam, Aýdyň Gijeler, Beýik Ýüpek Ýoly, Watan Rowaçlygy, Dowa, Ak Harman, Ýedi-Ýer, Döwlet Gurluşyk, Nexia Turkmenistan, Hukukçy and others.
The forum’s business programme features eight thematic sessions taking place over two days: oil and gas and chemicals, energy and construction, transport and logistics, trade and public-private partnerships, agribusiness, cooperation with international financial institutions, virtual assets, innovation and the green transition.
At the same time, a significant share of practical outcomes, as demonstrated by the experience of previous forums, is achieved not only during the sessions but also through individual business meetings. Participants are therefore encouraged to prepare for negotiations in advance by preparing a brief presentation of their company in English and clearly defining the objectives they would like to achieve in each specific meeting.
