Turkmenistan has opened registration for OGT 2026, the 31st International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan”, to be held in Ashgabat on 21–23 October 2026. The event, organised under the theme “Energy. Partnership. Progress.”, is expected to draw broad regional and international attention as Turkmenistan advances a long-term energy strategy based on stability, diversification and cooperation.
The timing is notable. The conference comes after the successful OGT 2025 anniversary edition, which brought together more than 1,400 delegates from 70 countries, over 100 exhibitors, and 80 high-level speakers, underscoring the growing importance of Ashgabat as a venue for Eurasian energy dialogue.
A major focus of OGT 2026 will be the future development of the Galkynysh gas field, including Phase IV, as well as broader questions of export diversification and regional connectivity. The agenda also highlights the TAPI pipeline, offshore development in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, gas monetisation, and industrial growth through petrochemicals and value-added production.

At the same time, the programme reflects wider shifts in global energy policy. Planned discussions include methane reduction, energy efficiency, CCUS, digital transformation, hydrogen and renewable energy.
In this sense, OGT 2026 is not only a commercial event. It is also a strategic conference where Turkmenistan will present its vision of itself as a reliable energy supplier, a transit partner, and a country seeking to balance hydrocarbon development with the demands of a changing international energy landscape.
Registration for the conference is now open.
