An educational seminar for youth was held in Ashgabat, serving as a logical follow-up to the recent eco-tour to the Amudarya State Nature Reserve. Held at the “Bouygues Turkmen” office, the seminar focused on enhancing the knowledge of young people in the fields of ecology and climate change. During the sessions, participants explored the causes and consequences of climate change using the “Climate Fresk” methodology. This training, conducted with the participation of “Bouygues Turkmen” specialists, empowers every participant to become a naturalist capable of passing this knowledge on to other young people.
Special emphasis was placed on the country’s state nature reserves and the protection of biodiversity. Drawing on the experience of the Amudarya Reserve, participants analyzed the role of various species within the food chain and the potential damage to the entire ecosystem caused by the extinction of a single species. The seminar also featured engaging discussions on effective ways to utilize innovative technologies in the fight against climate change.
This initiative, which began in the Lebap region and continued in our capital, is one of the key environmental events dedicated to Earth Day.
