On 23 March 2026, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, according to the foreign ministry of Turkmenistan.
The parties exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Nowruz.
