Young parliamentarians and leaders of youth organizations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will take part in the Youth Inter-parliamentary Forum in St. Petersburg, which will be held on 9-10 June 2022, reports the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The forum “Young Parliamentarians — a Look into the future of the CIS” is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the 10th anniversary of the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly operating within its framework.
The participants will discuss priority areas of international youth cooperation, present challenges and the role of public youth diplomacy, issues of preserving and developing the Russian language as the language of interethnic communication among the youth of the CIS countries, international experience and prospects for the development of youth parliamentary institutions in the CIS.
The program of the forum includes a plenary session, work on sections and a special event in honor of the 30th anniversary of the IPA CIS.
On the second day of the forum, seminars will discuss innovative approaches in youth policy and features of information support for legislative initiatives.
Young parliamentarians will present their views on the leaders of the new generation and will participate in the training of effective methods of public speaking.
The forum will be co-organized by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and Russian Federal Agency for the CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation as part of the implementation of the “New Generation” Program. ///nCa, 5 Jun 2022
