Ankara, Türkiye – A delegation from Turkmenistan is participating in the regional conference “Accelerating Midwifery Progress in Eastern Europe and Central Asia,” taking place on 7–8 September 2026 in Ankara, Türkiye.
Organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye and in partnership with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), the forum brings together health ministry officials, international experts, and healthcare leaders from countries across Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
The conference serves as a strategic platform to promote policy dialogue, align national practices with international standards, and exchange best practices in maternal and newborn health.
