Japan’s Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) will participate as a Silver Sponsor of the International Conference and Exhibition “Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan” — CIET 2026. The event will take place on 3–5 November in Ashgabat at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
CIET 2026 will bring together representatives of government institutions, international companies, financial institutions and the expert community to discuss prospects for Turkmenistan’s industrial and infrastructure development. The conference and exhibition will provide a platform for exchanging technological expertise, presenting investment proposals and expanding cooperation across the construction, chemical and energy sectors.
Particular attention will be given to the connections between these sectors. Industrial development requires modern production facilities, reliable energy supplies and efficient infrastructure. Advances in construction and energy technologies, in turn, support greater operational efficiency and the implementation of new industrial projects.
The business programme will cover energy and chemical industry development, modern construction practices, investment mechanisms and public-private partnerships, as well as digital solutions for the construction sector. This approach will allow participants to consider projects throughout their life cycle — from engineering design and technology selection to financing, construction and operation.
The exhibition will complement these discussions with displays of equipment, materials and technological solutions. Companies will have opportunities to introduce their capabilities to potential partners and discuss how their technologies can meet the needs of the Turkmen market. B2B and B2G meetings will facilitate direct engagement between businesses, project owners and government institutions.
TOYO’s participation brings practical experience to this agenda. The company has a track record of delivering major gas chemical projects in Turkmenistan. As part of an international consortium, TOYO participated in the construction of the Kiyanly Polymer Plant, undertaking engineering, equipment procurement and commissioning for the gas separation, ethylene and polypropylene production units. The project was completed in 2018.
Cooperation has continued through the major overhaul of the complex and work to restart polymer production. In 2025, TOYO, together with Türkiye’s Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri, was awarded a contract by the State Concern Turkmenhimiya for the first phase of the project. In a statement published in February 2026, TOYO confirmed that it was undertaking detailed planning, engineering and partial procurement of equipment and materials. A memorandum of understanding was also signed to establish a framework for cooperation on the second phase of the plant’s major overhaul.
This experience directly relates to key issues on the CIET 2026 agenda: modernising production facilities, expanding natural gas processing and manufacturing higher-value products. The participation of international engineering companies will bring insights from the delivery of industrial projects to these discussions.
TOYO’s support for CIET 2026 will help strengthen professional connections and expand technological cooperation. The conference and exhibition will provide opportunities to discuss Turkmenistan’s sectoral priorities and identify promising areas for joint work. ///nCa, 14 October 2026 (the material was provided by the CIET 2026 Organizers)
