On October 9, 2026, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and the Deputy Regional Representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) for Central Asia Ennio Boati.
During the meeting, the parties noted the effectiveness of the cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, particularly in the areas of social policy, gender equality, and the rule of law.
The Turkmen side expressed gratitude to Ennio Boati for his participation in significant events held in Turkmenistan, particularly the International Dialogue “The Role of Women in Maintaining Peace and Achieving Sustainable Development” and the Conference “Demographic Processes and Sustainable Development: Contemporary Challenges and International Experience”.

On the same day, M. Byashimova held a meeting with the Deputy Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia of the Organization for Migration (IOM) Dragan Aleksoski.
At the meeting, the parties discussed current issues regarding the cooperation. They highlighted the need to coordinate actions to address global migration issues, including providing assistance to migrants in emergency situations and preventing human trafficking.
