An international exhibition and scientific conference covering healthcare, education and sports opened in Ashgabat on 10 October 2026today, bringing together government institutions, domestic organizations, foreign companies and researchers for three days of exhibitions, professional exchanges and scientific discussions.
Running from October 10 to 12 at the Exhibition Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the event provides a platform for presenting new technologies, exchanging expertise and exploring opportunities for cooperation across three sectors central to human development and national modernization.
The event is organized jointly by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, the Ministry of Education, the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, and the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
Its broad scope reflects the growing links between medical science, modern educational methods and sports development, including the potential contribution of digital technologies and scientific research to each field.
The exhibition brings together domestic institutions and international companies showcasing products, equipment and technological solutions. The displays cover a wide range of areas, including medical diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, digital learning tools, sports training equipment and rehabilitation technologies.
The exhibition offers participants an opportunity to examine developments in their respective fields and discuss their potential application in Turkmenistan.
The opening ceremony was attended by government representatives, members of the diplomatic corps and industry specialists. A welcoming message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance attached to modernizing the country’s healthcare, education and sports infrastructure and to strengthening cooperation with international partners.
The message also emphasized the role of the exhibition and conference in familiarizing domestic institutions with international experience and technological advances.
Alongside the exhibition, the programme includes business meetings and professional exchanges intended to encourage contacts between domestic organizations and foreign partners. These discussions provide opportunities to explore prospective cooperation in equipment supplies, technological solutions, specialist training and other areas of mutual interest
The scientific conference is being conducted in a hybrid format, enabling researchers, academics and other specialists to participate both in person and remotely. Its programme comprises 22 thematic sessions addressing a diverse range of subjects in healthcare, education and sports.
The healthcare discussions include developments in cardiology, oncology and medical practice, while the education programme covers modern teaching approaches, foreign-language instruction and digital learning. Other sessions address the digital economy and sports science, including training methods and preparations for future international competitions.
By bringing these disciplines together, the Ashgabat event creates opportunities to consider how advances in science, technology and professional training can support improvements in public health, educational quality and athletic performance.
