The President of Turkmenistan signed a decree declaring 28 September 2026 a non-working day and rescheduling a day off on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence.
According to the document, the decision was taken in accordance with Part 2 of Article 81 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan to create favorable conditions for festive celebrations and comfortable rest for citizens.
The decree also provides for the transfer of the day off from Sunday, 27 September, to Tuesday, 29 September 2026.
Thus, 27–29 September will be non-working days. /// nCa, 24 September 2026
