On 7 August 2026, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the United States of America to Turkmenistan Christine Hawkins.
During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of Turkmen-American cooperation and reviewed prospects for further engagement in areas of mutual interest.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation within international organizations, primarily the UN.
The sides also exchanged views on priority areas of bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, including the expansion of educational and sports exchanges, as well as the implementation of joint projects and programs.
In addition, the meeting addressed organizational matters regarding upcoming joint events. The interlocutors reaffirmed their readiness to maintain a regular dialogue and foster constructive interaction across a wide range of topics on the bilateral and multilateral agendas. ///nCa, 7 August 2026
