The Turkmenistan Chess Federation has announced the “Ashgabat” stage of the national Grand Prix competitions.
The tournament will take place from 3 to 8 May 2026 at the Specialized Chess and Draughts School of the Ashgabat Main Department of Physical Education and Sports. The event will be officiated by FIDE Arbiter Serdar Annaberdyev and National Arbiter Aygul Saryeva.
Any athlete or coach who is a professional member of the Turkmenistan Chess Federation is eligible to participate. Registration for athletes will be open until 18:00 on 26 April 2026 via the following link: https://bit.ly/granpriashgabat2026.
Logistics and Prizes
Accommodation: All registered participants traveling from outside the Ashgabat area will be hosted at the Grand Hotel in Ashgabat.
Costs: The Turkmenistan Chess Federation will cover all expenses related to the organization of the competition.
Awards: Winners will be presented with honorary certificates, medals, and gifts from the Federation.
Prize Pool: Cash prizes are also provided, with a total prize fund of 10,000 manats. ///Chess Federation of Turkmenistan
