Books, reading, literary discoveries, and interactive activities for children—the international book fair will be one of the highlights of KIDS EXPO 2026.
From 19 to 22 August 2026, visitors in Ashgabat will be welcomed into a vast book zone for children and adults to explore new releases, pick out books for the whole family, and join in various literary events.
The fair will showcase a wide array of books in multiple languages for children, parents, and family reading—including fiction, educational, informative, and developmental literature, parenting guides, and self-education books.
Participants will include libraries, bookstores, and international cultural organizations such as the French Institute in Turkmenistan and the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan. Their involvement will introduce visitors to diverse literary traditions, languages, and cultures, featuring new publications and works from around the globe.
The book zone offers more than just shopping for book lovers. Beyond buying books and exploring new releases, visitors can take part in an interactive children’s program featuring story readings, quizzes, educational games, and engaging activities designed to make discovering books exciting for young guests.
Special emphasis will be placed on family reading and fostering a love of literature among children and teenagers. Parents can select books for their kids, explore resources on child rearing and development, or find titles for personal reading and self-improvement. Younger visitors will have the opportunity to discover new stories, authors, and characters.
The international book fair will form part of the cultural and educational program at KIDS EXPO 2026, uniting books, education, creativity, and family leisure.
The International Exhibition and Fair “KIDS EXPO: Everything for Children” will be held at the Exhibition Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
