
On 22 May 2026, in Ashgabat, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kohir Rasulzoda, who is visiting Ashgabat to participate in the regular meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government, the Khovar news agency reports.
At the beginning of the meeting, Kohir Rasulzoda conveyed greetings and best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan on behalf of the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
During the talks, a wide range of issues regarding bilateral cooperation was reviewed, the report notes.
It was emphasized that relations between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan continue to develop based on the principles of friendship, good-neighborliness, and mutual respect.
The parties paid special attention to further increasing the volume of bilateral trade.
