On November 4, the Turkmen football club “Arkadag” hosted Iran’s “Gol Gohar” in the city of Arkadag, securing a tight 1–0 victory. The match kept fans on the edge of their seats until the 77th minute, when “Arkadag” captain Ahmed Atayev netted the decisive opener.
A crowd of 10,000 supporters cheered the teams on from the stands.
The fixture took place in the AFC Champions League Two, marking Matchday 4 of the group stage.
In late October, “Arkadag” faced “Gol Gohar” in Almaty, where the two sides played out a scoreless draw.
