The first international participants of the Turkmenistan Investment Forum 2026 (TIF 2026) have already arrived in Ashgabat. With only a few hours to go before the opening of the business programme, their introduction to Turkmenistan begins with a rich cultural programme.
The first stop will be Old Nisa, an ancient Parthian fortress and one of Turkmenistan’s most important historical sites. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the archaeological complex and learn more about the history of one of the major powers of the ancient world.
After returning to Ashgabat, participants will visit the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet, where they will discover the traditions of national carpet weaving and unique examples of Turkmen art.
The final stop on the route will be the State Museum of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan, where guests will continue exploring the country’s historical and cultural heritage.
The main business programme of TIF 2026 will begin on 1 October. Over the two-day forum, the programme will feature plenary sessions, the signing of joint documents, B2B and B2G meetings, as well as discussions on investment opportunities in energy and petrochemicals, transport and logistics, trade, industry, agribusiness and the digital economy.
Even before the business programme begins, TIF 2026 participants will have an opportunity to discover the history and culture of Turkmenistan before turning to the forum’s main agenda: international investment and business cooperation. /// nCa, 30 September 2026
