Chevening alumni from Turkmenistan are pleased to announce the launch of Voices of the Silk Road: Central Asian Alumni & Mentorship Hub, a new regional initiative supported by the Chevening Alumni Programme Fund (CAPF). Turkmenistan will lead the initiative alongside Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
At the heart of the initiative is Chevening Connect Silk Road (CCSR) — a regional hub connecting Chevening alumni and young leaders across Central Asia and the wider Silk Road region. CCSR will serve as a modern network for mentorship, knowledge exchange, and opportunities, drawing inspiration from the historic Silk Road as a bridge between cultures and economies.
The project will run from September 2026 through 2027 and will feature more than 30 alumni-led webinars, a shared digital resource library, and the Regional Chevening Impact Conference in December 2026.
The launch lands at a fitting moment: as this year’s Chevening Scholarship application is now open and closes October 6 – prospective applicants now have a new way to explore the programme and connect with the wider Chevening community.
