The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Turkmenistan, Şener Cebeci, addressed his compatriots and the Turkmen people on social media on the occasion of the official start of his diplomatic mission in Ashgabat.
In his message, the Ambassador emphasized the special nature of ties between the two countries, recalling that Türkiye became the first state to recognize the independence of Turkmenistan and open its diplomatic mission in Ashgabat. Today, bilateral cooperation develops at a high strategic level under the motto “Two States, One Nation.”
Şener Cebeci stated Türkiye’s intention to continue firmly supporting the sovereignty and permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.
Deepening the multifaceted partnership in political, economic, trade, cultural, and educational spheres will be key priorities of his work in the new post.
“We follow with admiration and pride the major development strides and visionary projects implemented by brotherly Turkmenistan in every field — from infrastructure to industry, urban planning to transport corridors. The participation of Turkish companies and our business people as reliable partners in these huge projects demonstrates the trust of the National Leader His Excellency Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov in Turkish business people,” the statement reads.
Ambassador Cebeci expressed full confidence that the Turkish business community will continue to provide the strongest support to Turkmenistan’s path of development through its superior quality and experience. ///nCa, 1 September 2026
