The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan has announced the opening of applications for the special admissions program for the 2027 academic year at the Graduate School of Korean Studies at the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS).
The Academy offers master’s and doctoral programs in 13 specializations within the humanities and social sciences.
Terms of Study and Grants:
- Tuition exemption: All admitted international students are fully exempt from tuition fees for the standard duration of study (2 years for a master’s degree, 3 years for a doctoral degree).
- Scholarship support: 15 first-year students will be awarded a government scholarship, which includes a monthly living allowance of 800,000 won for one year.
Online Application Deadlines:
- Spring semester 2027 (classes begin March 1, 2027): applications will be accepted from August 31 to September 18, 2026.
- Fall semester 2027 (classes begin September 1, 2027): applications will be accepted from March 8 to March 19, 2027.
