On 12 September 2024, a meeting was held in the premises of the MFA of Turkmenistan between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Turkmenistan (with residence in Tashkent) József Rózsa, who presented copies of his credentials.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Gurbanov congratulated Ambassador Roja on his appointment, expressing Turkmenistan’s full support for his diplomatic efforts. The two officials discussed opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields, including politics, diplomacy, trade, economics, culture, and humanitarian affairs.
Both sides emphasized the importance of high-level meetings in strengthening the traditional friendship and mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and Hungary. They also explored ways to enhance trade and economic ties, noting the existing productive cooperation in culture and education.
The same day Ambassador Rózsa also presented his credentials to the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, D. Gulmanova.
He expressed his honor in representing Hungary in Turkmenistan and expressed keen interest in learning more about Turkmenistan’s domestic and foreign policies, as well as the activities of the Turkmen Parliament.
The sides agreed that there is significant potential for exchanging experiences in national legislation, parliamentary activities, and people-to-people cooperation. ///nCa, 13 September 2024
