The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan has announced changes to its consular appointment procedures. Beginning 7 August 2026, the embassy will introduce an online appointment system for a number of consular services.
Online appointments will be required for:
- visa applications and issuance;
- obtaining certificates of no criminal record;
- document legalization.
The online booking system will open on 7 August 2026, allowing applicants to schedule appointments for dates starting from 1 September 2026.
Appointments can be booked through the official website of the Embassy of Belarus in Turkmenistan, where the booking link is available on the homepage – https://www.turkmenistan.mfa.gov.by/ru/

To ensure a smooth transition, the current telephone appointment system will remain available until 31 August 2026. Applicants may continue to book appointments by calling +993 12 48 29 27, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The introduction of online booking is expected to simplify the document submission process and reduce pressure on the embassy’s telephone lines. The change comes at a particularly busy period, as late summer and early autumn traditionally see high demand from hundreds of students in Turkmenistan applying for visas to study at Belarusian universities.
One of the key advantages of the new system is that appointments can be booked around the clock from any internet-connected device. Applicants, including those traveling from other provinces of Turkmenistan, will be able to reserve a specific date and time before coming to Ashgabat, helping them avoid queues at the embassy. The system assigns each reservation to an individual applicant, allowing visitor flows to be managed more efficiently. ///nCa, 6 August 2026
