In 2025, Turkmenistan’s “Single Window for Export-Import Operations” system processed 189,954 licenses and permits online. This figure represents a 2.7-fold increase compared to 2024, according to the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
The system’s operations are coordinated by the Control and Analysis Center of the State Customs Service’s central office.
All applications from participants in foreign economic activity (FEA) submitted via the “Single Window” are registered and processed in real-time under the supervision of the relevant authorities. This approach significantly reduces the time required for export-import operations and enhances the overall efficiency of the procedures.
Currently, 19 ministries and departments are integrated into the system, providing 29 types of services related to foreign trade. The platform operates 24/7, facilitating the issuance of approximately 1,000 permits per day. To date, more than 12,000 participants in foreign economic activity are subscribed to the system, and their numbers continue to grow.
The “Single Window” system was implemented in Turkmenistan as part of the nation’s drive to digitalize foreign economic activity. It is designed to simplify procedures related to the export, import, and transit of goods. This project was implemented in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. ///nCa, 1 February 2026
