On 4 March 2026, the “Galkynysh” (Revival) national equestrian games group of the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan performed in Baku.
As reported by AZERTAC, the winners of the Grand Prix at the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival 2025, performing in Baku for the first time, demonstrated complex equestrian elements, delighting the audience with perfect synchronicity, stunts, powerful dynamics, and a high level of professionalism.
The show program also featured colorful performances by artists and acrobats from the State Circus of Turkmenistan and the Gerogly State Equestrian Circus of Arkadag city.
The program concluded with the flags of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan being brought onto the stage on horseback.
Pygy Bayramdurdyyev, Rector of the Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding, said in an interview with journalists: “Today we have set foot on the soil of brotherly Azerbaijan. Our peoples are united by centuries of friendship and a common history. The primary symbols of our cultures are legendary horses: the Turkmen Akhal-Teke and the Azerbaijani Karabakh steeds. Thanks to the initiative and support of our heads of state—Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Ilham Aliyev—we received an invitation to perform in the magnificent indoor arena of the Bina Equestrian Center in Baku.
