On 3–4 March 2026, Dushanbe is hosting the 14th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation.
The meeting is co-chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Sulaymon Ziyozoda, and the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan in charge of the agro-industrial complex, Tangryguly Atakhallyev.
Representatives from ministries and departments of both sides are participating in the meeting.
On the first day of the meeting, the parties reviewed important issues of bilateral relations, specifically the current state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation, the activation of mutual trade, and the development of interaction in the fields of transport and communications, energy and water resources, industry and construction, agriculture, education and science, healthcare, the medical industry, civil aviation, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, youth policy and sports, as well as the further expansion of the legal framework of bilateral relations.
It was emphasized that the trade turnover between the countries in 2025 amounted to US $ 43.1 million, 17.1% up from 2024.
According to the meeting agenda, the Protocol of the 14th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation will be agreed upon and signed on 4 March. ///nCa, 4 March 2026
