On March 3, 2026, Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Annayev met with the Vice-Rector of the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Mr. Teodor Ioan Trașca.
During the meeting, the positive and friendly nature of Turkmen-Romanian cooperation in education and science was noted. The importance of the previously established cooperation between the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov and the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest under the Cooperation Agreement was emphasized.
The parties exchanged views on expanding practical cooperation, including organizing joint academic and expert events.
It was noted that Turkmenistan has declared 2026 the year of “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses”. In this regard, the possibility of holding thematic events was discussed, including with the participation of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University.
