From February 9 to 13, 2026, a Turkmen delegation consisting of representatives from the Mejlis, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Institute of State, Law, and Democracy, the “Keyik Okara” public organization, and UNFPA, conducted a working visit to the Turkistan region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The primary goal of the visit was to study the country’s experience in interdepartmental cooperation for the protection of families in difficult life situations resulting from domestic violence.

Particular emphasis was placed on the practical aspects, specifically the organization of coordinated work between various government agencies and public organizations—from the initial identification of cases to the social rehabilitation of domestic violence survivors and the correction of offenders’ behavior. The delegation took a special interest in Kazakhstan’s experience in developing and implementing the Digital Family Card and the FSM “Social” mobile application, which facilitate effective interdepartmental coordination and response for the timely provision of services to families in need. ///nCa, 14 February 2026 (in cooperation with UNFPA Turkmenistan)
