Today, Turkmenistan celebrates the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, marking the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year. On this occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended his congratulations to schoolchildren, students, teachers, and all workers of the country’s education system.
The Head of State emphasized that this holiday symbolizes the dynamic development of the Motherland in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State.
“Knowledge lies at the foundation of all our achievements and of a happy and prosperous life. It is knowledge that illuminates our path from a glorious past into the future. Since ancient times, the Turkmen people have been known to the world for their pursuit of learning, devotion to science, prudence, and wisdom. By adhering to these remarkable qualities today, we are carrying out tremendous work to improve and elevate the national education system to a qualitatively new level,” the President noted.
The Head of State stressed that the country is implementing large-scale national programs aimed at developing education, introducing innovative technologies, and expanding international cooperation. On this day, new educational institutions are being inaugurated: the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Ashgabat, a new building and dormitory in Mary, as well as modern schools and kindergartens across the country.
The President highlighted the special role of teachers, whose work forms the foundation for raising an educated and patriotic young generation: “Teachers and workers of the national education system hold a special merit in its accelerated development, in preparing knowledgeable and patriotic youth with broad outlooks, fundamental knowledge, and skills in modern technologies, as well as in significantly strengthening the unity and cohesion of our society.”
The Head of State also noted that the young generation of Turkmenistan should draw inspiration from the examples of glorious ancestors and outstanding scholars, demonstrate creativity, and achieve success on the international stage, bringing honor to the independent Motherland.
The Day of Knowledge and Student Youth is marked with scientific-practical conferences, sports, and cultural events. These activities, as emphasized by the President, reflect the pace of development of the national education system in accordance with global practice./// nCa, 1 September 2025
