On April 2, 2026, with the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania, an online meeting was organized between the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Prahova county, aimed at developing bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Representatives of logistics and food companies from Turkmenistan, as well as the representatives of the oil, gas, and tourism industries from Romania, also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, information was presented on the economic potential of Romania and the Prahova region, known for its natural resources, developed oil and gas industry, tourism, and winemaking.
The parties expressed mutual interest in expanding cooperation, including developing logistics ties, investment interaction, and implementing joint initiatives. During the meeting, representatives of the turkmen companies “Eminli Maslahat”, “Halk Market”, and “Gama” presented information about their activities and confirmed their readiness to collaborate with their Romanian partners.
Prospects for cooperation in the oil and gas industry and tourism, exchange of experience, and participation in specialized exhibitions in both countries were also discussed, as well as the signing of relevant cooperation documents between relevant companies from both countries.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their commitment to further developing their partnership and maintaining regular dialogue. ///nCa, 2 April 2026
