As a result of the hard work of our people, great successes have been achieved and plans have been fulfilled in the International Year of Peace and Trust.
Work continued on the development and implementation of modern laws.
The high rate of economic development has been maintained. GDP growth was 6.3 %, including 1.8 % in the industrial sector, 9.6 % in trade, and 7 % in agriculture.
The volume of investments increased by 6 %. During the reporting period, about 7,000 new jobs were created at large and medium-sized enterprises.
Last year, 116 industrial and socio-cultural facilities and 645,000 square meters of housing were commissioned from all sources of financing.
The construction of a number of important facilities has been launched.
The construction of the second stage of the country’s first “smart” city, Arkadag, has also continued.
With a good harvest, the farmers ensured the country’s food security.
A number of international events were held on the occasion of the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of the neutrality.
An international forum was held at a high level in honor of the International Day of Neutrality with the participation of heads of State and heads of international organizations.
Important resolutions and documents have been adopted that have increased the authority of our country.

We spend every year under a certain motto. This year, “Independent neutral Turkmenistan is the homeland of purposeful heavenly horses” has been declared.
This motto is of great importance and inspires us to carry out work aimed at further enhancing the authority of sovereign, permanently neutral Turkmenistan and the prosperity of our homeland.
At the same time, this places a great responsibility on us. In this regard, we will have to work hard for the practical implementation of the year’s motto.

In accordance with the “Program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan and investments in 2026”, residential buildings with a total area of more than 900 thousand square meters, educational institutions for 3380 places, and preschool institutions for 1080 places are planned to be built and commissioned this year.
To improve the social and living standards of the people, as part of the implementation of this Program, the construction of a number of new buildings will be launched in the provinces and the capital. It is also planned to complete the construction of some facilities and buildings.
This year, we will build and commission 30 residential buildings in the Parahat-7 residential area of Ashgabat and numerous shopping malls and household homes, 46 modern residential buildings in the residential area in the Buzmeyin district, as well as 127 two-storey cottage-type residential buildings in the capital, a multidisciplinary cultural center with 4,000 seats.
The International Center of Pediatrics, the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Oncology and the Dental Center will also be put into operation in the capital. In the sanatorium Archman, a new complex of buildings with 400 beds will be commissioned.
This year, the Mary–Turkmenabat section of the Ashgabat–Turkmenabat high-speed highway, a new modern village in the Kizilarvat district of the Balkan province, a multi-purpose power plant in the Kizilarvat district, residential buildings and a complex of buildings in the village of Guvlymayak district of Turkmenbashi will be commissioned.
A new building complex of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering and the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute will also open.
Significant funds will be allocated for the construction of highways, communication systems, water, gas, energy supply, and the construction of water and wastewater treatment plants aimed to improve the social and living conditions of the population.

A number of international events will be held on the occasion of the year “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful heavenly horses”.
In this regard, in order to organize the planned international events, I have signed a Decree on the establishment of the Organizing State Committee for High-level Events scheduled for this year. The upcoming events should be properly prepared and conducted at a high level.

As you can see, the Program adopted for the current year includes a very large amount of work. Our main goal is the further prosperity of our homeland.
