On 12 February 2026, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.
During the discussion, the parties addressed a wide range of bilateral agenda items, paying particular attention to the practical implementation of previously reached agreements, as well as the schedule of upcoming contacts and joint events.
The importance of coordinating efforts within multilateral platforms—specifically the CIS and the Caspian littoral states—was emphasized.
