On 11 February 2026, a meeting was held between Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Romania A. Annayev and the State Secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Ana Tinca, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for further development of Turkmen-Romanian relations. They noted the progressive development of bilateral cooperation based on mutual respect and trust, as well as their interest in further strengthening political dialogue.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the economic and transport sectors, as well as interparliamentary contacts and consular cooperation. The parties emphasized the importance of using existing dialogue mechanisms and reaffirmed their readiness to further intensify them.
They also discussed multilateral cooperation and Turkmenistan’s international initiatives aimed at strengthening peace, security, and sustainable development.
