On February 12, 2026, Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Annayev met with Mr. Anquetil-Caroly Kolchar, Chairman of the Turkmen-Romanian Interparliamentary Friendship Group and Member of the Romanian Parliament, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania.
During the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of Turkmen-Romanian relations, based on the principles of mutual respect and constructive cooperation. They emphasized their willingness to maintain regular interparliamentary dialogue and intensify cooperation through relevant friendship groups.
They also discussed Turkmenistan’s initiative to declare 2028 the Year of International Law, the 2026 slogan “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses,” and the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence. Plans for holding relevant joint international events were discussed.
