The Chess Federation of Turkmenistan is proud to announce the Turkmenistan Team Chess Championship, taking place from 22 to 28 March. This is a landmark event in the history of national chess: a tournament of this format is being held for the first time in several decades.
About the Tournament
The competition aims to popularize the team format of the game and involve a wide range of organizations and companies in the chess movement. The championship is open not only to professional players — the Federation invites all chess enthusiasts to participate in this unique tournament and test their skills against the country’s strongest players.
Based on the results of the championship, the winning team will earn the right to represent Turkmenistan on the international stage at the World and Asian Team Championships.
Additionally, a special nomination, “Best Private Sector Team,” has been established to recognize the strongest collective among companies and private organizations.
The Chess Federation of Turkmenistan plans to make this an annual tournament to systematically develop team chess and expand the circle of participants.
