A specialized online course designed to help first graders master the Russian language in an accessible and modern format has been launched on one of Turkmenistan’s popular state news portals.
The platform is available on the website of the International Information Center of Turkmenistan (THP) at the following link: https://www.turkmenistaninfo.gov.tm/ru/course
The free online course currently includes 70 short video lessons. The program was developed specifically to accommodate the age-related characteristics of six-to-seven-year-old children.
Each video lasts only 10–15 minutes, which helps maintain a child’s attention without causing fatigue.
The lessons are conducted in a game-based format, focusing on vocabulary expansion and the development of basic conversational skills.
The project is the result of cooperation between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The scientific and methodological foundation was prepared by specialists from the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University (NGPU). All materials are synchronized with Turkmenistan’s national educational curriculum.
The launch of the course for first graders is the first stage of a large-scale project. Experts are currently working on creating similar video materials for higher grade levels.///nCa, 13 March 2026
