On 26 February 2026, as part of the working visit to the United Kingdom by a delegation from Turkmenistan led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, a series of bilateral documents were signed to promote cooperation in education, science, and human resource development.

- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and AQA Assessment Services Ltd. This document aims to enhance the quality of assessment at the school level and, where applicable, in vocational education. Key focus areas include developing the competencies of assessment specialists, refining approaches to creating examination materials, and increasing the transparency and comparability of results.
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and Pearson National Computer Systems. This agreement focuses on collaboration in skills development, certification, and qualifications. The partnership with Pearson is geared toward advancing digital assessment formats and examination administration. The practical focus lies in launching pilot mechanisms to measure learning outcomes, establish feedback loops for curriculum improvement, and ensure international recognition of graduates’ competencies.
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Norwich Institute for Language Education (NILE). Cooperation with NILE is centered on practical professional development programs for educators, advancing teaching methodologies, and building sustainable professional teacher communities.
- Memorandum of Understanding in Science and Education between the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and Nottingham Trent University. This document provides for joint educational initiatives, academic exchanges, and strengthening the practice-oriented components of training.
Following the signing ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, Azat Atayev, held a series of targeted negotiations with representatives from Pearson, AQA, NILE, and Nottingham Trent University.
