On 24 February 2026, as part of her official visit to Georgia, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, met with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia.
The Chairperson of the Mejlis conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Turkmen-Georgian cooperation in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
Special attention was paid to inter-parliamentary cooperation, which is of key importance for strengthening bilateral political dialogue and developing interstate relations. The importance of interaction and strengthening ties within the framework of international organizations was also emphasized.
The meeting participants noted the significant role of regular meetings in strengthening cooperation, supporting open dialogue, and creating a solid foundation for the further development of mutually beneficial relations.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, both sides expressed their commitment to further expanding cooperation based on trust and mutual respect.

As reported by the Georgian 1TV, the main focus of the meeting was on political and economic ties, with an emphasis on partnership in the sectors of trade, transit, logistics, and energy. The active cooperation between the two countries in the development of the Middle Corridor project was highlighted.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, and the Ambassador of Georgia to Turkmenistan Konstantine Sabiashvili.
Irakli Kobakhidze commented on the results of the meeting with Dunyagozel Gulmanova on his X (formerly Twitter) page: “Pleased to host H.E.
