On February 24, 2026, the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, received the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, who is on an official visit to Georgia, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia reports.
The Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
During the meeting, the main directions of Turkmen-Georgian cooperation in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on cooperation within international organizations, including the UN and others, and on the regular reciprocal support for constructive international initiatives.
The participants of the meeting underscored that inter-parliamentary cooperation and official visits play a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral relations and advancing the strategic partnership between the states.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue a constructive dialogue and to implement joint initiatives in the interests of the peoples of both countries.

We noted that high-level visits contribute to strengthening relations and fostering comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
