On 3 February 2026, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the further development of Turkmen-Emirati relations in the political, diplomatic, trade, and economic spheres, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Rashid Meredov emphasized the significance of the World Government Summit, which aims to make an important contribution to the development of cooperation between the nations of the world.
The diplomats noted the effectiveness of the interaction between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the UAE. They highlighted the mutual support both countries provide each other within international and regional organizations.
