The Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF) and the Aba Annaev International Horse Breeding Academy of Turkmenistan have signed a cooperation agreement, the Qatar News Agency (QNA) reports.
The document was signed by the President of the QEF, Bader bin Mohammed Al Darwish, and the Rector of the Academy, Pygy Bayramdurdyev.
The agreement provides for the exchange of expertise and knowledge in horse breeding and training, the professional development of technical personnel, and the implementation of joint programs and specialized workshops. Both parties noted that these initiatives will contribute to raising the standards of equestrian sports in line with modern international benchmarks.
During the signing ceremony, representatives from both sides emphasized the significance of the document for the advancement of equestrianism and the strengthening of sporting relations between Qatar and Turkmenistan.
Particular focus was placed on sharing best practices in the breeding and care of purebred horses, as well as the training of riders.
The agreement was signed as part of a broader effort to expand bilateral cooperation in the field of horse breeding. ///nCa, 1 February 2026
