On 22 October 2025, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Saif Al Tayer, Chairman of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and Dragon Oil, and Abdulkarim Al Maazmi, Acting Chairman of the Board of Dragon Oil.
At the beginning of the meeting, the guests conveyed greetings and best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan from President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In response, the Head of State conveyed reciprocal wishes to the UAE leadership.
During the discussion, it was noted that relations between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates are steadily developing based on mutual respect, trust, and constructive partnership. The cooperation between the two countries successfully continues both bilaterally and within the framework of international organizations, including the United Nations.
Special attention during the meeting was given to expanding cooperation in the oil and gas sector, a key industry in the Turkmen economy. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan’s strategy in this area focuses on deepening the processing of its hydrocarbon resources and producing high-value-added products in demand on both domestic and international markets.
In this context, the successful operations of Dragon Oil, which has accumulated significant experience in Turkmenistan, were highlighted. The Head of State expressed readiness to consider specific proposals from ENOC and Dragon Oil for further strengthening partnership and implementing new joint projects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence in the continued successful development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates, wishing Saif Al Tayer and Abdulkarim Al Maazmi success in their endeavors. ///nCa, 23 October 2025
