Ashgabat, 17 June 2007 (nCa) --- Turkmenbashy, the largest Caspian seaport of Turkmenistan, is handling a wide range of ecologically friendly products.

The products mostly come from the adjacent Turkmenbashy refinery where Turkmenistan has been investing for years to introduce ecologically friendly technology.

One of the petrochemical products making its way to foreign ports is polymerization propylene that is used for manufacturing of synthetic film, artificial fiber and yarn, high-strength thermoplastic sheets and other downstream products.

Almost half of the products of the Turkmenbashy refinery are shipped by rail and sea with the help of precision cargo handling facilities, warehouses and highly skilled work force.

More than 35000 tons of products from the Turkmenbashy refinery have been shipped to buyers in Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey and other countries since the start of this year.
