Foreign Contractor Get Orders worth US $ 53 Million in Turkmenistan

Ashgabat, 7 February 2008 (nCa) --- President Berdymuhamedov signed Thursday some resolutions, clearing way for award of contracts worth U$ 53 million to foreign firms.

The contracts in US dollars amount to 21.72 million and the contracts in Euro total to 17.19 million. At the present exchange rates of Euro versus US Dollar, the total value comes to around US $ 52.62 million.

Here are the details:

  • Ministry of public healthcare and medical industry will sign a contract with the auto manufacturer KAMAZ FTC Corp for supply of 11 units of transportation vehicles with total value of US $ 762308. The ministry of healthcare and medical industry will arrange funds from its own sources.
  • State concern turkmenNeft will sign contract with the German company MAN Ferrostall Piping Supply GmbH for supply of 21100 meters of steel pipes of various diameters with total value of Euro 6.328 million. The pipes would be used for development work at the Yasheldepe deposit.
  • Turkmenbashy refinery would place order with Enex Processing Engineering of Belgium for supply 5 electric motors with total value of Euro 1.47 million.
  • Turkmenbashy refinery would order items of various descriptions from foreign suppliers as per the results of the recently held international tenders. Total value of the order is US $ 20.97 million and 9.38 Euro
